The Newfoundland & Labrador Labour Standards Act (LSA) requires employers to establish conditions of employment that meet at least the legislated minimum standards for their employees, in areas such as hours of work, minimum wage, leave entitlements, termination of employment, paid public holidays, vacation, etc. The LSA also requires employers to inform employees of the basic terms and conditions of their employment at the time of hire and whenever the terms and conditions change. (LSA § 2.1)
